Hi Dan & Mike – Thank you so much for inviting me to your NTC showcase tournament last week. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but what I got out of the week was so much more than I ever could have hoped for. Not only did I get to play some great games, but I made some new friends and learned so much about the process for continuing to pursue my dream of playing hockey at a higher level.
Before I attended your coaches corner sessions, I did not have a clear idea of my career path and how to go about pursuing the next step. After the week was over, I was able to put a plan together. I now know that I would like to play Jr. B in the GOJHL in the Golden Horseshoe Conference and attend Brock university on a part time basis. I was planning to attend Brock full time next year but I now know that if I do my chances of obtaining an NCAA scholarship are diminished. My ultimate goal is to secure an NCAA Division I hockey scholarship after a few years of playing Jr. B. Thanks to you I made some great contacts and have signed up to try out at 2 Jr. B rookie camps in the GOJHL.
I would also like to work with you and NTC throughout the summer for some off season training. Can we set something up this week or next to get started?
